Why I did this
The move I waited for finally printed, and missing it felt worse than buying the top. So I paid the extension, after the easy part was gone. I still feel that pull. I do not call it analysis anymore.
What it costs
Missing the trade costs nothing. Chasing it is what costs the account. You buy the late part and sell the first red candle. The trader who waited at the level is flat or in profit. You are the liquidity.
The rule
If you did not have the level before the candle, you do not have a trade. Missed moves are free. The next map is the work. This candle is already someone else's.
