Why I did this
For a long time the entry was the only part I cared about. I could explain why I was in. I could not point at the price that meant I was wrong. So the trade stayed open on a feeling. The market is never wrong. The opinion is. I learned that by watching my own maps, not from a quote.
What it costs
You stay in a broken structure because leaving feels like admitting the idea was bad. One bad map becomes a bag. The bag becomes a story you defend in public.
The rule
Before the order, write one invalidation. If price trades there, the idea is done. Decide the exit while you are calm, not after the candle has already hurt. Applying a DCA strategy can help a lot, in both investment and trading.
