What happens
On October 11, 2026, STRK traded about $781M in 24 hours, almost its full $808M market cap, and broke into the CoinGecko top 100 at rank 90.
The fuel is the Layer 1 story. On October 8, Starknet said it is considering becoming its own quantum resistant Layer 1 by 2027, and on October 10 StarkWare called an independent L1 "our clearest path forward." The same week, a Pixel 11 phone generated a full STARK proof for a real Starknet mainnet transaction in 51 seconds, using 2.41 GiB of RAM.
The numbers
- Price: $0.1090 at 09:25 UTC on October 11, up about 54% in 24 hours
- 30 day move: about +275%
- 24 hour volume: about $781M against an $808M market cap
- 24 hour high: $0.122, so STRK already gave back about 11%
- Next unlock: 127M STRK for investors and early contributors on October 15, a monthly tranche through March 2027
- All time high: $4.41, so STRK still sits about 98% below its peak
What I'm watching
When a token trades its whole market cap in a day, price can move fast in both directions. The L1 move is still a proposal and needs governance approval.
The real signals will be a formal governance vote, a technical roadmap, and how the market absorbs the October 15 unlock.
